Simparica TRIO Orange is a small and palatable liver-flavoured chewable tablet to be administered monthly.

It provides treatment and control of fleas, ticks, and intestinal worms, as well as prevention of heartworm disease in small dogs weighing 5.1–10kg.

Each chew contains: 50mg pyrantel (as embonate), 12mg sarolaner, 0.24mg moxidectin

Administration:

  • For oral use only – once a month
  • Suitable for puppies from 8 weeks of age and at least 1.3kg
  • Remove one chew from the foil-backed blister card at the time of dosing
  • Offer as a treat – highly palatable and usually accepted voluntarily
  • If not taken voluntarily, administer with food or place directly in the mouth

General Directions:

  • Safe across various breeds and weights when used as directed
  • No adverse interactions with vaccines, antibiotics, or corticosteroids observed
  • Well tolerated in sensitive breeds including Collies and Shepherds
  • Not evaluated for use in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs

Indications:

  • Fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.):
    • Kills fleas within 4–8 hours
    • Breaks the flea lifecycle by killing adults before egg-laying
    • Controls infestations and helps manage Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD)
    • Persistent protection for 5 weeks (35 days)
  • Ticks (Ixodes holocyclus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus):
    • Kills paralysis and brown dog ticks
    • Eliminates pre-existing tick infestations within 24 hours
    • Offers 5 weeks of continuous protection
    • Daily tick checks recommended during tick season
  • Heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis):
    • Monthly use prevents heartworm disease
    • Must be administered year-round without interruption
  • Gastrointestinal Worms:
    • Treats and controls hookworms (A. caninum, U. stenocephala) and roundworms (T. canis, T. leonina)
    • Effective against larval stages (L4, L5)
    • Reduces risk of transmission to other pets

Treatment Schedule:

  • Treatment may start at any time of year
  • Administer monthly with no interruptions
  • Flea control may require several months of continuous use due to existing environmental stages
  • Treat all pets in the household to minimize re-infestation
