Simparica TRIO Blue is a small and palatable liver-flavoured chewable tablet to be administered monthly.

For the treatment and control of fleas, ticks and intestinal worms, and the prevention of heartworm disease in medium dogs 10.1–20kg.

Each chew contains:
100mg pyrantel (as embonate), 24mg sarolaner, 0.48mg moxidectin

Administration:

  • For oral use only
  • To be administered orally once a month
  • Suitable for puppies from 8 weeks of age and weighing 1.3kg or more
  • Remove one chew from the foil-backed blister card at the time of monthly treatment
  • Offer to the dog as a treat – highly palatable and usually well accepted
  • If not taken voluntarily, may be given with a small amount of food or placed directly in the mouth

General Directions:

  • Safe across various dog breeds and weights when dosed correctly
  • Compatible with vaccines, antibiotics, and corticosteroids
  • Well tolerated with macrocyclic lactone
  • Safe for Collie and Shepherd breeds sensitive to avermectin
  • Not evaluated for breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs

Indications:

Flea Treatment & Control (Ctenocephalides spp.):

  • Kills fleas within 4–8 hours of treatment
  • Breaks flea lifecycle by killing adult fleas before they lay eggs
  • Treats, controls, and prevents infestations
  • Can be used as part of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) management
  • Provides 5 weeks (35 days) of flea protection

Tick Treatment & Control:

  • Kills paralysis ticks (Ixodes holocyclus) and brown dog ticks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus)
  • Eliminates existing paralysis ticks within 24 hours
  • Offers 5 weeks (35 days) of tick protection
  • Daily tick checks are recommended during tick season

Heartworm Prevention (Dirofilaria immitis):

  • Monthly administration prevents heartworm disease
  • Treatment must continue year-round without interruption

Gastrointestinal Worms:

  • Treats hookworms (A. caninum, U. stenocephala)
  • Treats adult and larval stages of roundworms (T. canis, T. leonina)
  • Reduces risk of transmission to other pets

Treatment Schedule:

  • Start at any time of year
  • Administer monthly without gaps
  • Breaks in treatment may allow re-infestation
  • Flea infestations may require multiple treatments for full control
  • Treat all pets in the household to prevent reinfestation
  • For dogs only – use a cat-safe flea product for cats

Dosage:

  • Administer monthly
  • Do not divide chews – use the appropriate size based on the dog’s weight
